William Still, a Professor of History at East Carolina University gives a splendid account of the Confederate States
armored warships and ironclads. The CSS Virginia is mentioned in the book with a few pages devoted to it
and the battle, but the book is more a general approach to all the ironclads built by the Conferacy.
